DARCA is pleased to once again present a pre-convention event aimed at superintendents and ditchriders (though everyone is welcome)! This is a rare opportunity to get to know the field staff from ditch companies from all across the state. This year's program includes:
- A presentation from Division Engineer Jim Hall on water administration topics
- "Whiskey's for drinkin..." - a session by MaryLou Smith on conflict resolution. Here's your chance to get valuable tips on how to handle volatile situations out on the ditch. (Don't believe they can get violent? Check this out!) Learn how you can keep your cool and help all parties air their concerns.
- A roundtable session hosted by Phil Bertrand, superintendent of the Grand Valley Irrigation Company in Grand Junction. Phil's got a whole laundry list of ideas that he wants to bounce off the group - everything from urban conflicts to chemical applications. He wants you to share your two cents!
Our Superintendent's Workshop is on Wednesday, February 21 from 3:00 to 5:30 pm at the Sterling Ramada Inn. An optional dinner will follow.
Online registration is here, otherwise complete and mail in the registration form with payment.
